Virginia M. Thomas,
Vice President
Director of Community and Intergovernmental Relations and Director of Community Health of the University of Maryland Center for Health Program Development and Management, where she concentrates on social work, legislative, and health and human services planning. Ms. Thomas served 12 years as a State Legislator in the Maryland General Assembly, and has been recognized as a legislative leader with expertise in healthcare and human services. Known for her community outreach and volunteer activities, Ms. Thomas currently serves on the Board of the Maryland Gerontological Association, and is a member of numerous other Boards and Committees. She received an M.S.W. in Psychiatric Social Work, an A.C.S.W. in Administration from Rutgers University, and a B.S. from Farleigh Dickenson University. Director since 1996.
